“Faith Gregor embodies the art and beauty of Tai Chi. I have known Faith for over 10 years and took a year-long training program with her 5 years ago. She has a gift in teaching the form and is patient, attentive and kind. She demonstrates the movements in a slow and meditative way. I highly recommend her classes and know you will reap the many benefits of practicing this centuries-old tradition.”

Tom Hobin, Physical Therapist and T’ai Chi Instructor

Moving Meditation

I began studying t’ai chi in 2000 with Maedée Duprès, internationally renowned tai chi instructor, dancer and choreographer.  I received instructor training and certification from Maedée at Open Wings T’ai Chi Studio in 2006.

My teaching style is based on my belief that t’ai chi can benefit any program of movement for any ability and goal. This includes injury recovery and prevention, the challenges of chronic conditions and the aging process, adding variety to an existing exercise program, enhancing the mind/body connection and tuning in to the pure joy of movement.

I teach the Yang style, which is widely practiced in China and originated in the 1300s.  I incorporate the form’s rich tradition and symbolism with its moves and sequences. I also strive to help students improve their balance, strength, flexibility and focus.
